Turkey Bombs Syria – while the MSM world blames Trump

Trump is pulling US troops out of northern Syria and according to Germany’s Deutsche Welle, the US is guilty of abandoning its friends the Kurds and allowing ISIS to re-infiltrate Syria.   What DW does not say is that friendly relations with Turkey extend throughout most of Europe including Denmark, Ireland, Hungary, Italy, France, the Holy See, etc…   So it would appear the Kurds have no allies in Europe.  But it is all Trump’s fault…

In fact, Germany’s Kurdish population is estimated at 1.5 million, whereas the US population hovers closer to 20,000. So why isn’t the EU defending the Kurds? The EU Commissioner has ‘affirmed their commitment’… The same EU that bombed Syria.

What is the real story?

Syria has released a statement asking the EU, UN and other human rights agencies to take action against Turkey – no mention of the US.   In the event that Turkey continues its offensive, Syria has announced its intentions to defend itself. That could indicate a brutal uprising, and securing US troops from a central position in this front would be a responsible action. The number of troops affected is estimated to be between 50 and 100, not a battalion.   The US was not positioned to withstand a new offensive war.

Saudi Arabia has stepped up to the plate to take over the defense of the northern Syria Kurds. Given the relationship between Trump and Prince Muhammad bin Salman, it is likely an agreement was instituted wherein the Middle East would take care of their own.   The majority of Kurds are Sunni.  And the US needs to concentrate its resources on the US – for a change.

In an interesting twist, Russia, one of Turkey’s most vocal allies, has condemned Turkey for violating Syria’s sovereignty and called their attacks ‘criminal’.  Iran opposes Turkey’s aggression.   Greece and Cyprus have condemned the belligerence. Turkey has found itself with NO ally, instigating violence, and will likely find itself at the center of retaliation.

In the midst of this bizarre implosion, Erdogan has stated that 3.6 million Syrian refugees currently in various camps across the country, will be replenished. With Germany warning of a massive influx of new refugees, it would appear the true equation is more clear.   Turkey is going to unleash a new swathe of immigrants descending on the EU and they are miffed because the US isn’t stopping the invasion by declaring war on Turkey.

The EU has no army. And Germany is already spending over $10 billion Euro’s annually to support its current influx of refugee population.   There is no money left. And so, our once upon a time ‘ally’, that never really was, is further alienating the US by attempting to vilify Trump. That would be Merkel’s version of asking for help before another 3 million refugees descend.

Still, the Liberal war mongers in DC and the media are using this ‘reassignment of troops’ as a point argument of Trump’s incompetency.   We The People, both liberal and conservative have long demanded the US get out of the Middle East conflicts. Yet, the politicians are not listening. Trump is!

While the MSM is busily derailing Trump, the real story surrounds the absolute idiocy of Erdogan in pursuing this assault. Without an ally, Turkey is subjecting itself to severe consequences the likes of which could erupt in mass exodus, civil riots, and human rights violations that could easily spiral the country into chaos.

The US is not responsible to act in the capacity of global police on behalf of the inept EU, but that message seems gray when the liberal peacemakers choose to decry Bomb em ALL!

Syria Rebuild: Germany Bidding for Contracts?

Syria is still in the gray throes of media efforts to spill a rather topsy-turvy rendition of what happened, including the notion, as stated by Germany’s, DW.com, returning Syrian refugees from Germany to Syria, is not going to happen…  In addition, Germany feels that the Assad regime, ‘depopulated the areas in which insurgents were strong’and this alludes to Germany claiming the refugees are all opponents of the Assad regime and Assad will therefore torture and kill them…

Ok, there are rather striking and obvious misstatements!

  1. If Syrian refugees want to go home, how can Germany refuse to allow them unless they consider them prisoners of Germany?
  2. Assad ‘depopulated the ‘insurgents’ also known as ISIS, al Qaeda, al-Nusra, and a host of radical terrorists which Germany, the UK, US, and Canada initially aligned with under Obama before alternate media pointed out these were the ‘bad guys’ beheading, raping, torturing, plundering and killing!

Which means that Germany’s government controlled media is already attempting to rewrite history instituting themselves as savior instead of perpetrator.  A rather bold approach but one that mimics the false media Protocol that is censoring news across the globe.

In the midst of this, Russia has already released documentary evidence to European governments and the UN, which proves the same White Helmets and ‘insurgents’ who were hailed as hero’s, are planning anotherchemical attack in Idlib, the last stronghold that has not been retaken by Assad.  The media plume has most likely already written their articles and ‘op-ed’ on the attack well before it has happened.   Of course, it goes without mention that Germany and the UK will undoubtedly blame Assad and Russia, the scapegoats for everything Soros.   Despite the obvious.

Film crews from Middle Eastern channels as well as ‘one major US media station’ are already pre-screening the coverage of a future attack…  Make-up, camera’s, action, screams, running, devastation… a movie in progress.

And lastly, it would seem that Germany has somehow forgotten that Syria is not a German territory, but a Syrian country governed by Syrians for Syrians in their quest to determine what will occur in Syria, for whom and by whom.

Within this bizarre rhetoric, the German government is arguing about how to rebuild Syria with the help of the UN without actually giving any money to Syria’s government, aka Assad, which sounds rather like the de facto coup that was the rationale to destroy Syria in the first place!

Apparently, Germany is not exactly paying attention, or else they are filling the minds of Germans with false news because Assad gets to determine whose money he wants, and Germany, the US and Saudi Arabia are NOT on the list.  So the discussion is rather arrogant.

Apparently, Germany is under the odd belief that they are annexing Syria and using rebuilding as blackmail.  Only Syria’s government and the Syrian people don’t have a say-so.    Because Merkel doesn’t recognize them as people…

So what does Syria have left that Germany so desperately wants?

Oil and gas fields still exist, but it would appear that governance over land is most important for transpipelines, for control of farming and agriculture, and for ‘rebuilding’.  Whoever owns the land dictates the contracts.    As in the US, the Syrian government can dictate eminent domain and confiscate all land from foreign governments – but I imagine a new emboldened fight would ensue…

In 2015, the Guardian published an article in which the plight of Syrians was analyzed.  Contrary to the media publications today, Syrian’s left Syria not because of Assad, but because their country was being bombed to oblivion by Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, US, UK, Germany etc…, and between 357,000 and 500,000 people died, roughly 1/3 were civilians.  Of course the numbers are rather oblique.  During wars, the numbers tend to have a range of +/- that defies reality.  For example, deaths attributed to WWII range from 50 to 80 million – how do you lose count of 30 million people?

At any rate:   There was no infrastructure left, no hospitals, no houses, no markets, they left because their country was being reduced to rubble.  Not because of Assad, but because the aforementioned governments concluded that a new regime needed to be created, likely at the behest of the Saudi’s in a tit-for-tat blackmail scheme.

In the meantime, Syria is holding its own conference in Damascus wherein attendees include Arab and expatriot businessmen willing to fund the redevelopment of Syria, including partners from Iraq and Yemen.  I imagine Russian and Iran are also allowed to bid, and will most likely retain the drooled over contracts that Germany counted on should Hillary have won the election and apportioned the booty – much like after WWi and WWII.

But that plan has been foiled.   Only Germany is still pretending.  Shhhh, don’t tell them….

Syria: Who are The Rebels?

War torn Syria remains a front for control. While the media coverage abounds with attention drawn to ‘the government forces’ and ‘Assad’, the opposition forces are rarely identified.   The opposition, rebels, are made up of four prominent groups:

Army of Islam – backed and funded by Saudi Arabia and Turkey, it is an organization operating in the Gaza Strip and closely affiliated with Hamas. They have been accused of carrying out attacks in Egypt including the bombing of a Coptic church in 2011. With a heavy presence in Ghouta, their intent is to create an Islamic state under Sharia. They have operated in conjunction with al-Nusra, an affiliate of al-Qaeda, and merged with Ahrar al-Shem in their design to eliminate Shiites and Alawites from Syria.

Targeting Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Palestine, they have engaged in most battles for control of Syria including Aleppo, Raqqa, Idlib, and now Ghouta. Making the war more complicated is the fact that they are not only opposed to Assad, but ISIL as well.

They have been shown using civilians in Ghouta as human shields, putting them in cages, and kidnapping and enslaving them. They have admitted to using chemical weapons, chlorine gas and other agents, against Kurdish forces and civilians. Infighting between rebel groups as also contributed to the chaos as power struggles wreak havoc.

Failaq al-Rahman – backed and funded by Qatar and Turkey, is a smaller organization that fights – everyone, including; ISIL, Assad, al-Nusra, and sometimes the Army of Islam.   They were originally organized by a Syrian Army captain who defected in 2012, and were considered a pet project of McCain and Obama under the auspice of the Free Syrian Army, or FSA before rebranding as Failaq al-Rahman. As such, their funding and support came from NATO and the US.

Their main stronghold was in Jobar where they were able to survive via an ancient cave system that runs beneath the city.  In the caves, they were safe from bombs, and could hide weapons and food.

In 2012, they were accused of hording supplies, food, and medicine in Aleppo from civilians in their effort to keep them docile and easily manipulated.   The MSM chose to instead report that there was no food or medicine in Aleppo in order to create a false message, ignoring the fact that the FSA was the stronghold at the time.

The eastern side of Jobar was home to mostly Christians before al-Rahman engaged in its terrorism within this city.

The two smaller rebel factions in Ghouta include the Levant Liberation Committee, and Ahrar al Sham. These groups have worked with ISIL and al-Nusra at various times and are also funded by the Saudis. Their size has greatly diminished due to in fighting and disagreements regarding fatwa, ceasefires, mergers and operations. Their goal is to rule Syria and they have offered those services in peace talks as an alternative to Assad or ISIL.

The UN continues to issue statements regarding the escalation of violence in Ghouta, and the humanitarian crisis that continues to be launched. Oddly, they never address Saudi Arabia, Turkey or Qatar in containing their rebel factions.   In calling for a ceasefire, they only identify ISIL, al-Nusra, and al-Qaeda as hostile.

In addition, while the UN praises neighboring countries that are housing all the Syrian refugees, they simultaneously chastise these same countries because the refugees are living in utter poverty without basic necessities including education and healthcare.  Jordan appears to be the UN target.  With roughly 11 million refugees or displaced Syrians, Jordan is currently housing about 630,000.  Turkey and Lebanon are housing over 5.6 million…

In the meantime, the US media is focusing on Kurdish forces in Syria fighting ISIS, when ISIS doesn’t appear to be in Ghouta, or their presence is enormously limited. Trump has stated that the goal of eliminating ISIS in Syria has been accomplished for the most part already. Regime change is not a goal. And the remaining factions that the government and Russia are fighting are these rebel groups backed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar.   It would appear that Trump sees any intervention outside of ISIS as none of anyone’s business – let the Middle East destroy each other from within, it’s their battle.

Syrian Refugees Supported By Faith Based Organizations?

Eighty one religious groups including 11 Jewish organizations are all lobbying to have the Syrian refugees come ashore to the US. They say that 10,000 is nothing and they can easily be absorbed. Who are these faith based organizations the press keeps referring to?   World Relief, US Conference of Catholic Bishops, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, and The Church World Service.

The Church World Service: 64.4% of its funding comes from the US government. The CEO, Rev. John McCullough, served under President Obama on the White House Task Force on Global Poverty and Development. He is a leading advocate for giving amnesty to the 11 million illegal immigrants in the US. Why the ‘church’ would involve itself in politics at the White House level seems a conflict of interest.

World Relief: 76% of its funding came from the US government according to its 2014 990 tax return. It’s CEO, Stephan Bauman, has no other previous experience having come aboard in 2005 according to his Linkin profile. There agenda is immigration.

US Conference of Catholic Bishops: An NGO – 60.7% of its funding is from the US government. Another 17% is from investments on its assets.  This organization is not run by any member of the clergy, they are businessmen and women.

Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service: Current CEO, Linda Hartke, is formerly a Director from – Church World Service. They beat out all the above with 96.7% of funding coming from the US government aka, the White House, aka, Obama.

Obviously these organizations are not truly churches supporting the influx of Syrian refugees, they are non-profit NGO’s with an agenda and all have these common characteristics:

  1. They state that their primary objective is to bring in more immigrants and grant immunity to the illegal ones currently in the US.
  2. They receive more than 60% of their funding from the US government.
  3. They manage multi million dollar funds – $57 to $130 million annually.
  4. They have a conflict of interest by claiming they support the White House agenda for immigration.
  5. These organizations do not represent people, they represent the White House.

While the House voted to ‘suspend’ the refugee relocation, the key word is suspend, not eradicate. Timing is everything. Prudence is everything. If in fact these refugees are vetted through a two year process as the White House has stated on numerous occasions, they can wait a bit longer given the circumstances. To provide some perspective, the Hispanic and Asian immigrants never sought to behead or annihilate all ‘westerners’. And with ISIS continuing to assert it will infiltrate the US, ISIS coming from the Middle East and Africa, it would serve to preserve lives to put a ‘stay’ and observe caution.

In addition, while Canada and the US make the claim that only women and children will be allowed, previous reports have all stated that the influx was predominantly men who claimed to leave their wives, sisters and mothers in their home country where they would be ‘safer’. So if their home country is safer for the women and children, who is coming here? And what are they fleeing if safety is not an issue?

And let’s not forget! The 10,000 number that is being tossed about so easily is in addition to the already 75,000 annually. Over 1.5 million potential terrorists are already being tracked in the US. Should we just arbitrarily add to that number? Is that a prudent measure of maintaining US safety and security? Is that what a Commander in Chief thinks of this country? Despite claims there are no ‘credible’ threats in the US, we brace. We wait.

And to say that we are not different, we are not changed – is ridiculously pathetic. We ARE changed – forever. I remember what flying used to be like. I remember what airports used to look like. I remember when the news was about the economy, not the annihilation of a country. I remember when beheadings were something of the sixteenth century. I remember when I wasn’t warning my children about being in malls, civic centers, sporting arenas, etc…

YES, we are changed and it is ridiculously irresponsible to say we are not.

Refugees – The Trojan Horse of The Muslim Brotherhood – part II

Refugees are learning that Germany – is cold. Today in Syria it is 86′. In Germany it is in the 50’s with lows in the 30’s. The contrast is stark and does not bode well with the warm blooded Syrians living in tents. Angry, they demand that Germany do more!

“…without residency permits the state seems to do nothing for refugees other than house and feed them. The camp has not organized a single German lesson for her family, the mother of three from Damascus says. Nor have they had any advice on how they can access the job market if their application is granted.”

How quickly entitlement becomes the outcry. “We came here expecting …” The immigrants want food, housing, jobs, education, clothing, psychological counseling, goods, and a life ready made just for them… But the article also emphasizes the reason for the Syrian crisis is the ‘government bombardment’.  I suppose it might be coined the government bombardment if one went on to define the government as the Saudis and the US.

It is the Muslim Brotherhood organizations in the US that are calling for additional Syrian refugees to be allowed here. In Germany, the Sharia Muslims in refugee camps are targeting Kurds, Christians and Yazidis for persecution, attacks, and brawls. Max Klingberg, the director of the Frankfurt-based International Society for Human Rights says the problem is much bigger than reported and will only grow larger as many of the refugees are extremists with ties or alliance to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Attacks at the German refugee centers occur nearly daily. Police are injured, Christians are injured, anyone who is opposed to Sharia law is targeted. Rapes are common in the camps.  These are not polite refugees with tears and sweet smiles.  They want Sharia LAW.  As a result, the German police are claiming they need every Islamic sect to be segregated to different centers in order to attempt to preserve some semblance of peace. But entitlements continue to provoke animosity as the migrants make demands.

They claim they are Syrians. But they come from everywhere. This is what can happen when meddling in the affairs of countries that should be held accountable for themselves. We are now left to assimilate millions of people and it is only the beginning.

There is a video on youtube which highlights some of the real atrocities taking place in Europe as a result of the migrant crisis; Migrant Crisis, The Footage The Media Refuses to Broadcast.  Learn what is really happening outside of mainstream media reporting on the suffering of the ‘poor mistreated migrants’.

Did we know this would happen?  Is there something far deeper in this than what we can even imagine?  Agendas always rule choices.  What is the agenda?

What was Assad like? What was going on in Syria before the civil war broke out? And what instigated it?

Reports spoke of the government spying on its people, monitoring the internet, and news agencies… something like the NSA. And abuse reports were initiated by obscure people, Syrians who hadn’t lived there for 40 years, such as Mohja Kohf.

Assad was considered much more liberal than his father. He released 700 political prisoners and attempted to introduce a package of reforms that would begin to lift Syria out of its authoritative regime. But old school members of his government blocked these changes. Anti-government protests heightened considerably in 2011 after ‘the media claimed over 2000 had been killed in protests’.  Was this even true?  Was it a disinformation plant?

Assad claimed his country was the target of geopolitical conspiracies as critics said his inexperience in politics made it difficult for him to establish Syria’s place in the “new world order”.   Assad would not bow, McCain decried foul and attempted to instigate an all out indiscriminate bombing on Syria.  And as the protests increased, the government cracked down on the dissidents in order to maintain law and order in the face of growing chaos.

Who was behind the protests? Who were the political prisoners the media kept referring to in their demonization of the regime? The Muslim Brotherhood. They are considered a terrorist organization by Egypt, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Syria, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. But not – the US. In 2011, the Brotherhood elected Mohammed Morsi as President of Egypt. He was over-thrown in 2013 and el-Sisi came to power banning the Muslim Brotherhood. Since its expulsion, its home-base has moved to Turkey.

So why would the US back and sponsor a group that is considered a terrorist organization in much of the Middle East? Why would the US initiate an all out war campaign in Syria in defense of and support of the Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates?

Stickier is as stickier does. Benghazi. In 2012, Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. Egypt’s newly formed Muslim Brotherhood government under Morsi was in power. Morsi wanted the release of a 9-11 prisoner in the US, the Egyptian Blind Sheikh. The US refused and Morsi organized the attack on the US Embassy in Libya with the plan of taking Ambassador Chris Stevens as hostage to be used as an exchange barter.

Could the State Department’s response to the Benghazi attacks be motivated by an attempt to cover-up the Muslim Brotherhood role? And if so, why?

Hillary’s long time aide and friend, Huma Abedin, is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, her mother is a writer and editor of a paper that advocates for mandatory Sharia law, and US domination. Abedin’s mother, who resides in Saudi Arabia, is also an associate professor at the University of Dar Al Hekma, in Jeddah. The university was first established in 1999 and received university status as of 2014, it has a 1 star rating out of 5.  The Saudis were not always anti-Muslim Brotherhood, and when the persecution against them began to rise, many fled to Saudi Arabia and found refuge as educators in the system teaching religious ideals.  Osama Bin Laden was a student at the King Abdul Aziz University also located in Jeddah.  It was through his training at this university that Bin Laden learned the ideology of jihad.

The Clinton Foundation receives a good deal of its funding from the Saudis. The thorns get even pricklier as it was revealed that the Egyptian branch Director for the Clinton Foundation, Gehad el-Haddad, was arrested in 2012 as a leading figure of the Muslim Brotherhood. He was a leading strategist for former President, Morsi.  Qatar, a leading government supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood was a major donor to the Clinton Foundation until 2014 when the Saudis put pressure on them to cease and desist.  Why do the Saudis want the Muslim Brotherhood quashed? Because the Brotherhood agenda is to rule, to the abolishment of Saudi rule and kings.

But why is Hillary so entrenched?  Does she see herself as a possible candidate for World Leader in the New World Order of Islam?  Is she playing so many different sides that she no longer knows what side she is on?  Like the liar who forgets what she has said to whom?

Enter ICG:  International Crisis Group, founded and funded by George Soros.  Sitting on its board is Mohamed ElBaradei, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood who served as former head  of the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency.  It was his influence that led to the lifting of efforts to curb Iran’s nuclear ‘research’.   Why would Soros devlop such a connection?  Because he needed help to bring down Big Satan – the US, and Little Satan – Israel.  And who better than to befriend those that want the same thing.

Using the Syrian crisis to infiltrate Muslim Brotherhood members, ISIS and al Qaeda into mainstream Europe and the US is probably a given. However heinous, however brutal.  Merkel fell for it. Denmark and Switzerland fell for it. But the reality is, now that they are here, what do you do with them? Once in, you can’t very well expel a million plus people.

And that my friend is how you create the chaos that may bring down all of Europe.

Refugees – Migrants? What Did You Expect?

I read the headlines nearly every day, …The Saudi Led Coalition in Yemen... We read, and we accept the words, but then –

What is a ‘coalition’? I looked it up: Merriam Webster – ‘The action or process of joining together with others for a common purpose”. It is used in politics to suggest the union of two or more political parties in a joint belief. It is used in economics to define the coming together of potentially two competing companies in a shared voice. It is a coming together in a good way – it comes from the Latin word meaning ‘to grow together’.

In other words, until recently, it’s usage has had a much higher integrity than it’s current one, ie, joining forces to annihilate a country and its people.

As in Syria. As in Yemen.

Migrants and refugees flocking to Europe in the millions, mostly from Syria, or countries that temporarily housed the Syrians and don’t want them any longer. And where do you suppose the Yemeni’s will go when our ‘coalition’ is done bombing their country? A lesson never learned, is an idiot without a soul. Enter David Cameron.

Cameron made the absurd statement that ‘the refugee crisis in Syria is the fault of Assad and ISIS’. The epitome of refusal to accept ownership, the arrogance of blame. If you destroy a country, where do you think the people will go? The Syrian ‘war’ was created when a coalition of countries decided they wanted to oust the current regime, and their efforts backfired. As a result, they armed the enemy and allowed the country to fall into the hands of ISIS.

As in the most basic of relationships, marriage, if you refuse to accept responsibility for your action(s), then they will continue unabated and the fixing will never occur. Pointing a blame finger Mr. Cameron only serves to escalate further implosion within every country the ‘coalition’ decides would be better under their tutorial.

I believe the vast majority of citizens know this, embrace this and accept this, it is only the bombastion of governments that would like to pretend that we the people are too stupid to get it! I am tired of the government acting as though we are all children under their thumbs, too ignorant to understand basic humanity and basic compassion and basic life principles.

The Saudi’s started a war with Yemen for one reason, to control the country. End of story. We started a war with Syria for one reason, to control the country. That’s really – it, the entire story. Europe bemoans the fact that the migrant/refugee crisis is out of control and yet doesn’t realize it is just beginning. Yemeni’s are only trickling, but they have no more food, no water, they will begin mass exodus – it is just a matter of time.

The UK steps up to the plate after refusing refugees, and announces it will begrudgingly accept 4,000. That’s 4,000 out of hundreds of thousands and perhaps millions soon. To date, the UK has taken in a grand total of 216. Hand picked. Yeehaw Mr. Cameron!  By comparison, Germany has taken in close to a million. Of course if McCain had had his way, there would be far less because we would have simply annihilated them with bombs. Population control according to the intellectuals, as in Mr. Gates.

We can sit around and break down the blame, argue the blame and get all arrogant about the blame. Or we can take ownership and realize that we have created a crisis of astronomical proportions that has a trickle down potential of allowing ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists to freely enter our countries. We did this. The consequences are ours. But in not even attempting to learn from this lesson, we ‘coalesce’ with the Saudi’s in bombing another country to complete rubble. If I were a citizen of the Middle East right now, I’d be watching my borders, my skies, my back, because there are no allies, no friends, no covenant at all.

FOOD CRISIS

Food. Crisis. This is the underlying buzz that gets modest media attention.

Headlines: Syrian refugee’s Overwhelm World Food Bank, UN Cuts Food to Syrian Refugees, Cash Strapped World Food Program…

Maybe we read the headline, but then most will scroll down without clicking the article. It’s not in our backyard, or is it?

Nearly a million Palestinians in Israel get food aid. Four million Syrian refugee’s in Jordan get food aid. According to World Food Program, 41 countries in Africa get food aid, 10 in South America, 6 in the Middle East and 17 in Asia. So far this year, 7 months, contributions by governments to just this one agency amounted to $2.5 billion. Some notable countries that were not on the list for 2015 include; Israel, Saudi Arabia, China, Austria, Poland, Mexico, Turkey, South Africa, and Iraq. And while some countries made attempts to contribute despite their own economic woes, one country didn’t even make the list of 101 as making a contribution at all for the past five years – Israel.

The US contributed nearly half the entire aid at $1.06 billion.

But the US program has fault lines that ravage the actual aid in red tape and bureaucracy. According to OXFAM, 59 cents of every dollar we spend goes to middlemen. In addition, the time frame to get food to the need takes 4-6 months.

But there is an even more grave hitch in this entire avalanche of need. Many of the countries receiving food aid are victims of foreign land grabs. The remainder are mostly refugees, people who will never climb out of refugee status and will forever be on the list living inc amps, living in squalor. These 51.6 million refugees are typically the product of regime change civil war and include those residing outside the country in camps and those remaining inside in destitution. Afghanistan stands at 5 million, Syria at 19.6 million, Sudan 5.5 million, South Sudan 4.5 million, Nigeria at 2.5 million, and Yemen has now topped over 1 million as a result of bombing this year.

The ideology used to be the quote; “give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” The problem? There is no backdoor revenue to be had if you teach a man to take care of himself. The revenue is generated in man’s dependence. It is the same ideology used in the US with Social Entitlements. And still the people take it because they haven’t any other offer.

After WWII, job training was a primary government focus. Today the focus is on creating a new poverty that will create a burgeoning industry to create unsurpassed wealth.

While the US and G-7 Members advocate heavily for land grabbing as a means of feeding the poor, sixty percent of the African land grabs produce cash crops that are exported. The labor is dirt cheap, and the profits exponential. The African that once fished for himself is now on food aid. A vicious cycle that gets little attention because everyone wants on the bandwagon – even the media.

Still the stories predict nothing but gloom for the future. While many focus on global warming as the culprit, the obvious is left unsaid; most of the land grabs do NOT produce crops that will put a dent to food shortages, instead they produce crops that are a by-product of fuel. We are taking what used to be partially sustainable land and recreating it for fuel production thereby worsening the FOOD CRISIS. But the Land Grabs are not just in Africa – they are here, now, in the United States!

The Swiss Bank, UBS, has buying up large swathes of land in Wisconsin, Mississippi, Mountain West and Georgia. An investment firm, Gladstone Land Corp is buying up swathes of farmland in Michigan.

Add to the volatile mix Monsanto, who leaves behind a trail of death as it’s pesticides make the soil untenable for new crops and growth, and the food crisis roils ever faster to an implosion. The picture is grim. It crosses lines of Republican and Democrat alliances, it sees international investors in bidding wars.  Even Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin is trying to jump on the bandwagon and open up farmland to more international investors.

But the consequences will be dire.  These are not long term ingrained farmers with knowledge passed from generation to generation on how best to cultivate the land, rotate crops and consume with a plan for the future.  These are conglomerates bent on razing the land to get the most the fastest with no thought for anything but the ‘now’.  And we, all of us, will be the victims this time.
