IRAN WAR IMMINENT! Says MSM

No one seems to know how much money Iran received as a result of Obama’s Nuclear Deal.   One would think that such information could easily be accessible, however, estimates are broad, anywhere from $74 billion according to Iran’s Central Bank, to $150 billion according to conservative sources. The money that was frozen in various accounts around the world had sat for 25 years accruing interest.

For example, the US held $400 million cash since 1990 which accrued $1.3 billion in interest according to ‘negotiators’.   That would calculate to an interest rate of 13%. Obviously the ‘negotiators’ were anti-US.

Problem is, now that the major Russiagate agenda came up dry, Trump is ramped into 5th gear and apparently, there were some rather major infractions attributable to Obama’s Iran Nuclear Deal.

According to The Washington Post, Obama personally attempted to coerce two American banks to launder the payments to Iran despite the fact that the Deal specifically prohibited any type of transactions between Iran and the US. Obama then lied to Congress about this side deal.   This also implicates Jack Lew, Obama’s Treasury Secretary who told the same thing to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

Obama also gave unlimited ‘future’ deposit access to bank Muscat in Oman via a license issued through Obama and OFAC.   Obama then told Congress he had issued no license, thereby lying during Congressional Testimony.

In other words, the Iran deal was all about money for Obama, for companies yanking at the bit wanting to industrialize Iran, and for the probable kickbacks that were likely flying every which way.   Kickbacks that would need to be ‘laundered’, and the banks that complied.

When Trump undid the Iran deal, there were a lot of angry people who had already tooled up.

And I imagine they wanted their kickback money – back.

And Iran – wasn’t happy.

The Deal was tainted, it was subversive, and it was tyranny. And Obama could be prosecuted.

As punishment, Iran has ramped up aggression toward Israel, held multiple missile exercises, deployed ships into the Gulf, and basically flexed its muscle. But the media want a war. And like WWI and WWII, a propaganda default was used to instigate the first shot, knowing that it would resound around the world. And retaliation would likely be the course of action.

But both Khamenei and Trump have unequivocally stated that neither wants a war.  They want a real Deal, one that is not created illegally.   One that is not corrupted. The ruffled feathers, the blood sport of a cockfight has just begun. Renegotiating could mean we forfeit the exorbitant interest rate Obama threw away – as a toss. It is in the past. A classic negotiating carrot.

Relations with Russia have already begun a fast forward pulse given Trump is cleared of Russiagate.   Trade talks with a faltering China economy are ongoing, and Europe is simultaneously demonizing the US, China, Russia alliance, while dervishly attempting to cultivate their own wolf/sheep in China – and Russia!

Having controlled the global spacecraft for decades, the EU, specifically England, Germany and France, are frantic as their power plummets under the Trump effect. Their economies are on a pinky swear away from recession, they have no military, no defense, and stubbornly refuse to admit they are corrupt when The People are quite aware.   What they leave behind as they walk away from their posts is nothing less than ‘chaos’.

The scapegoats will likely be paraded for the world while Obama, Hillary and Holder go into deep hiding.   The mental awareness of Soros is questionable, and his son, Alex, while trained well, does not exert the influence. Businesses, countries, and politicians, will watch the play from the sidelines as they are flake flakey enough so as to wait to root for the ‘winner’.   Thus, preserving the almighty – self.

In the meantime, attempting to sway public opinion and declare that Trump intends to go to war with Iran, the MSM are grappling at frayed rags because they haven’t anything else left.

When the mantra is that Trump is going after journalism freedom, the media conveniently forget what journalism ‘is’.   Today, The Washington Post, and The New York Times, among hundreds, are the equivalent to the National Enquirer.   Those same reporters used to belittle and toss caustic insults at the lack of journalism espoused by them only to become those they ridiculed.

Perhaps it is like Congress wherein a work week is composed of roughly 15 hours, and pretty soon Senators and Congressmen will have “adversity” scores like colleges, and votes will be tabulated with a + or – adversity.   You may have 25% of the votes, but your demographic adversity allows you a bonus of 15%…

China Spygate: Arrest of Huawei CFO

Canadian officials arrested Huawei’s CFO, Meng Wanzhou, for allegedly violating sanctions against Iran. Canada claims they did so at the behest of the US and extradition will follow.  But no one in the US seems to have a clue who ordered the arrest, and given that arrests for sanctions violations have never been conducted by the US, the entire scheme seems more than a bit odd, if not a setup, if not falsely reported.

Typically, charges for violations are brought by the Justice Department and involve heavy fines – not arrests.  In this case, HSBC was the favored means of laundering according to reports.  HSBC has a history of laundering with the dubious honor of holding the largest sanctions fine as of 2012 at $1.3 billion as part of a prosecution agreement and $665 million in civil penalties.   At the time, the customers included Cuba, Iran, Libya, Sudan and Burma.  No individual was prosecuted.  In 2014, BNP beat the previous honor and agreed to fork over $8.9 billion in penalties after admitting to laundering transactions involving Iran, Sudan and Cuba.  NO prosecution of individuals ensued.

Bolton has claimed he was both aware in advance – and unaware of the arrest.  Trump was most emphatically unaware, which begs the questions who, why, and how?

The announcement was parlayed on the same day that Trump announced progress in trade talks with China’s Xi Jinping.  And thus alludes to the belief that the arrest was an attempt to defrock the positive and tank the stock market.   China has been relatively quiet, Xinhau News making no comment today, and yesterday relaying a press release that was the only press release available to all media outlets.

Canada has released partial information given a ban on media was requested and granted on Ms. Wanzhou’s request.   According to the Canadian government, they state that Wanzhou, who is ‘Chinese’ is suspected of working for the Chinese government and is a spy.  Which would make the Iran sanctions violation a distraction over the real reason for the arrest.

Ren Zhengfei, founder and President of Huawei Technology, is Wanzhou’s father.  Ren was a member of the Peoples Liberation Party where he worked in the military division as an IT Researcher.  He later joined the Communist Party of China.

Due to his military and Party affiliations, India felt Huawei presented a security concern and barred them from winning particular contracts.   Other countries have made similar security concern comments, but no one – did anything.   Huawei’s attempt to buyout US 3Com was forcibly collapsed due to spying concerns.   They have been on the radar and skated.

Hauwei manufactures telecommunications equipment, smartphones, and networking equipment.  Allegations have arisen that its equipment could contain ‘backdoors’ allowing unauthorized surveillance by the Chinese government and the PLA.  The company response was that their equipment posed no greater threat than any other company – which is legal speak for ‘everyone’s doing it’.  As such, miffed, August 2018, they stated that they would pull out of the US market.  Not quite so easily done.

Huawei is enmeshed in various partnerships with:  Motorola, T Mobile, Honeywell, GE, Deutsche Telekom, Groupe PSA, Symantec, Siemens and others.  Well ingrained in equipment throughout the world, it has overtaken Apple in sales of smartphones and is well on its way to being one of the top five cloud computing companies.

Obviously the Iran sanction violation is a media distraction.  The gag order is being contested.  But given the fact that China is actually being relatively silent regarding the entire situation would indicate that they know considerably more.

The arrest might also be a different backdoor – a bargaining chip…

For an arrest to have been made, evidence of the allegations would be necessary.  The Justice Department is currently head by Acting Attorney General, Matthew Whitaker, hardly a light weight.   He is an avid Trump supporter, and faithful to draining The Swamp.

The media has claimed that William Barr heads the list for Trump’s pick for Attorney General, however whether Barr wants the nomination is unclear and confirmation could easily take months, thereby giving Whitaker reign on the possibility of China spygate.

Tariffs anyone?

Iran Deal – Merkel Bows

Iran’s relationship with Germany, and by default the EU, is precariously preposterously muddled in piddle.   Iran is calling the shots. Iran is denoting the ‘additional’ terms that the EU must follow if Iran is going to continue holding to the Obama terms of the Iran Deal.   And Merkel looks like a wimperton.

Khameini has provided five additional pledges that the EU must incorporate into the Deal or else the deal is off:

  • They will pledge to avoid opening negotiations over Iran’s ballistic missile program or actions in the Middle East.
  • European banks should “safeguard trade” with Tehran.
  • They should continue buying Iranian oil and should, if necessary, also buy Iranian oil the US decides not to buy.
  • They should “stand up against US sanctions” on Iran.
  • They should condemn US for allegedly breaking a United Nations resolution that supports the nuclear deal.

IF the EU does not accept all of the above, Iran will “continue its enrichment of uranium”.   What this reveals is the fact that a renegotiation of the original deal Obama and Kerry drafted, is off the table.   Iran is holding firm. It also reveals that uranium enrichment is and has been a long term commitment in Iran.   Despite the pinky swear that Liberals and Libertarians hold on to feverishly.

By defense, Pompeo has stated that unless Iran renegotiates the deal, they face the strongest sanctions ever stipulated in history.   And of course, that ultimately would include ‘regime change’ by the Iranian people, or by coup.

Like the governments of each and every country across the globe, it is unclear whether they represent the will of The People, or the will of The Government, and Iran is no different.

Unfortunately, trying to access Iranian blogs is much like trying to access German Blogs, repression of the media and censorship reign.

Interestingly, in 2017, a number of prominent Iranians sent Trump a joint letter urging him to ‘keep the Iranian Nuclear Deal’, these prominent Iranians, were all artists, actors, with the exception of one scientist who went to Harvard, the school of ir-repute and Open Societies.

The letter apparently sparked a recourse of dissidents who claimed that the views of these select artists did not represent the will of The People.   And it is upon this Will – that I believe we must focus.   I have met a few Iranian converts over the course of my years, and they have all – without exception – been the best of the best.   Educated, philosophical, and well informed, their voices were subjugated until they came to the states.   Still, they were not of the Liberal ilk wherein they fumed and fret and made a nuisance of themselves demanding this and that entitlement. Instead, they dove into the world of business, and made their mark.

I think too often we lose sight of the diction of the government vs the diction of society. It is easy to see it in our own country, but when a country is demonized, too often, we marginalize the people as well. It is and has been the fate of Syria, of Yemen, of Russia, of Germany, of the US, and of Iran.

Oddly, we are quick to understand there are good cops and bad cops, good politicians and bad politicians, good actors and bad actors, and yet when the media wants to indoctrinate an agenda, the evil is profoundly – all.

And without the proper guides, the People – believe.

If we were to impose that same way of thinking upon the US, we would assume that all women were just like Hillary, all men were just like Epstein, and all others were – deplorables. We don’t accept that here, so why in the world would we accept that anywhere else – including – Iran?

Maybe, just maybe, Khomeini is as lauded there as Obama was here… just a thought.

IRAN Sanction Deal – A Business Bonanza!

Why The Iran Deal Had To Go Forward –

It wasn’t really about the actual deal, it was about opening a new business market. Flocking to Tehran, EU businesses have already cut deals, secured contracts and readied for the blitz while US counterparts hedged their bets waiting for Congress to aye or nay the deal.

A baby’s bottom, the Iran deal is a business bonanza!  Iran opens the door to $$$$, and in a stagnant economy, any new market poses the possibility of generating beaucoup profits. The lobbyists could care less about the hostages, the prisoners, the ethics or even the risks, because that’s their game – shoot the moon.

Before the sanctions, France, Germany and the UK were Iran’s biggest trading partners, and by golly, they aim to be again! The French have already lined up a delegation of over 100 firms including automakers, plane makers, oil companies, agriculture companies, banking, pharmaceuticals and construction firms. Italy has already set up a memorandum of understanding for business dealings.

The EU wanted the Iran deal, and by any means possible, they were going to force the hand of the US. It was never about the terms, it was about just getting a deal signed so that businesses could reopen and the flow of money could be reinstated. Only two countries opposed the deal – Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia doesn’t want an economically strong Iran, they want a weak neighbor, one that they can destroy, one that has no power. Had Iran the strength, the Saudi’s would never have been able to annihilate Yemen. Instead of a ‘coalition’, it would have amounted to an aggressive war. A distinction that is ridiculously waived by the EU and the US as the Saudi’s continue to bomb civilians daily. Yemen was closely aligned with Iran. Giving Iran more power could easily disrupt the power plays that riddle the Middle East.

Israel. While Netanyahu lobbied for a more transparent deal, as in don’t have the wolf guard the chicken coop, it was a lost cause. Iran is not a negotiating country and President Rouhani made it quite clear that this is the deal, take it or leave it. But for Israel, it is not just about nuclear, it is about the influx of billions of dollars of revenue and how that will be used to bolster Iran’s military as well. It’s about a country that has adamantly proclaimed its desire to destroy Israel and the stress that threat invokes. Changing the balance, Iran will most likely use it’s new found cash flow to bolster Hamas and Hezbollah, further putting Israel at risk. It is incredibly short sighted to simply focus on nuclear energy when the entire economic balance will change, albeit not too rapidly, but certainly within the next decade.

There were some opposition forces that wanted the US to drop a partial list of sanctions, but the EU had already readied to drop theirs entirely, which would create an imbalance of trade for US businesses and further alienate the US economically. In addition, the mud effect this would have on multi-international businesses could prove a legal nightmare bordering catastrophic.

So while pundants are busily talking about how Iran will use smoke screens and magic tricks to hide nuclear advancement, no one cares, because when weighing business vs security, security looses every time. And once businesses start back up in Iran, the cost of imposing sanctions again at some later date will be met with fire and brimstone.

Of course, from a White House position, this is just another tick mark for the history books lauding President Obama and giving him a written legacy from which he can gain one giant ego in the name of mankind.
