Iran Nuclear Deal – All About The Money

Everyone seems brainwashed that the Iran nuclear deal was all about peace and love and everyone just getting along like Flower Children wearing daisies.  Conservatives, Libertarians, and Democrats are gushing that Trump is disrupting a Peace Agreement when in fact it was never about Peace – it was always about Money – Trade – follow the $$$$$$!

Short term memory loss:  In 2016 the UK government released an Iranian trade and export guide:  “There is a positive outlook for UK-Iran trade relations. Iran is the biggest new market to enter the global economy in over a decade, offering significant opportunities in most sectors, with potential to grow as the market in Iran expands.

Iran’s significant oil and gas reserves will be an important driver of economic growth. Other sectors in this diversified economy with the potential to contribute to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth and employment and where UK business has particular strengths include: Retail, Healthcare, Infrastructure, mining and water.”

Money.

Of course the EU has to support the Obama Nuclear Deal, their business interests have ratcheted up billions to exploit the country and if they supported Trump to pull out of the deal, their lobbyists, their political funding, would tank!

The Guardian wrote:   “Companies from Asia and Europe are already flocking to do business in theemerging economy, which is set to come in from the cold should Tehran meet its obligations to not pursue a nuclear weapon.”

Dubai scheduled ten flights per day to Tehran and said each one was packed.   But it was Germany leading the pack with their tongue wagging and their wallets stuffed with IOU’s anticipating a boom of $3 billion Euro immediately, and a release of their oil import concerns amidst visions of lollipops and gummy bears…

Meanwhile the voices revert still to the Peace Treaty and claim that Iran underwent multiple inspections all of which determined it was squeaky clean.   But the inspection process was quite sketchy;  Iran had to be given advance notice of an inspection by outsiders, certain facilities were exempt from inspection, military facilities were off-limits including the Parchin facility which was ‘self inspected’.

Currently the IAEA website is blocking access to Iran Inspections with an “error Page 504…  Odd.  I suppose they need to create reports that weren’t previously created?

In 2016, Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said “The hard work of verifying the controversial pact will likely continue for years, strongly hinting that he intends to seek a third term as head of the watchdog agency to see the task through.”

“It is still fragile,” Amano said of the accord during an interview at the IAEA’s Austrian headquarters. “Reaching an agreement was very important, but making it sustainable requires a lot of effort.”

Has the IAEA released an Inspection Report since 2016?

Trump attempted to renegotiate parts of the Agreement to shore up the obvious loopholes and was blatantly told – No.  Why if they have nothing to hide?  Why if they are truly in compliance?

The IAEA is mired in controversy and muddling, short staffed, and inexperienced staff make up a portion of their inspection team.  In September 2017, Director General, Yukima Amana, stated that“The IAEA has conducted many complementary accesses (CAs) in Iran since Implementation Day of the JCPOA, and will continue to request access to sites and locations before drawing a broader conclusion for the country.”

In other words, two years after the implementation of the Nuclear Deal as created by Obama and Kerry, only a handful of sites were actually inspected by the IAEA because Iran refused access.

Now the media would have us believe that what is most important is for the US to ignore these facts and simply join the EU bandwagon of exploiting the trade dollars while Iran continues to do whatever it chooses…

Meanwhile, Kerry is desperate.  I wonder how much $$$$$$ are at stake from his own portfolio?
