Where’s The Beef? Buyer Beware – Toxic Chemicals and Fake Meat

Where’s The Beef?  Trump reluctantly agreed after much prodding to reveal the source of the Beef import meant to lower the cost at the grocery stores by 35% – Argentina.  Problem: Argentina beef contains chloramphenicol – an antibiotic injected into the cows. It is banned for all food animals worldwide – obviously Melie chose to try and evade that ban. The side effects include:

• Blood disorders: Bone marrow failure and fatal aplastic anemia can happen even after small doses.
• Gray baby syndrome: Newborns can get low blood pressure, blue skin, and belly swelling.
• Nerve issues: Numbness in the hands or feet or optic nerve damage may occur.
• Stomach upset: Nausea, vomiting, and loose stools

When Argentina tried to sell 22 tons of this tainted beef to China March 2026 – they refused delivery.  Is Trump buying the same frozen batch China already refused?  How old is it?  When asked, Trump’s response is that ‘Argentina is hurting really bad’.  Why is Argentina hurting so badly? The so called Libertarian economics employed by Milei, a man who has never held a serious job in his life, has made the Argentine Peso worth – $.00.  Those who had money to begin with are feeling GREAT – the remaining ordinary folk can’t make ends meet. Translation:  40% of the population are in ‘poverty’.

Argentina Government debt stands at $485 Billion (assuming Milei is telling the truth). Treasury Secretary Bessent came to the rescue and instead of making our $20 billion investment in Argentina a debt instrument back in 2025, Bessent used the $20 billion to buy Pesos which are now worthless.

Treasury Secretary Bessent is an economic wizard in his own mind – and no one else’s apparently.  Due to the selloff of Treasuries, the yield climbed past 5.3%.  Bessent is buying back those long term treasuries and replacing them with short term Treasuries at a lower yield.  What are the main causes of the Treasury selloff?  DEBT and WAR.  So instead of addressing the causes, Bessent is playing the fool.  And it’s not the first time in his financial history.

Bessent’s mismanagement of funds is ‘extraordinary’.  He is a Wizard at Losing Money. His dabblings have included real estate wins and losses. Soros cut him off after Bessent’s second attempt at his own hedge fund collapsed.  It is likely due to these losses that Bessent was considered a good choice for managing America’s entire wealth system.  He has managed to kill the housing market completely.  Oil prices confuse him. And his bachelors degree in political science does nothing to help him manage hyper-economic conditions, or micro and macro trends.

Trump’s response? Kids today need to work harder – they are lazy good for nothing. Winning Trump yet another block of voters – right?  It appears the last leg of Trump voters can barely fill a school auditorium – who that leg is would be the $1.598 Question. 

Trump’s plan to import 660 million pound of frozen beef trimmings without 25% Tariffs is a scam:  Headline – Argentina and U.S. sign a major trade deal to slash tariffs, boost political alliance.   Reality; Argentina was under a reciprocal 10% Tariff rate.  February 2026, the White House Released a statement that beef and agriculture goods from Argentina were duty free.  So how will this 660 million pounds be priced?

Argentine beef exports to the United States (which primarily consist of frozen lean “trimmings” used to make ground beef) are costing importers an average of $8,300 per metric ton. This breaks down to approximately $8.30 per kilogram (or roughly $3.76 per pound) before additional domestic freight, blending, grocer profits and processing costs. Currently, US importers pay more for Argentina beef than ANY other country – roughly $700 per ton – thus importing 300,000 tons are already overpriced by $210,000,000. 

Argentinian beef was banned in the US for 14 years ending in 2015 due to its cattle having foot and mouth disease outbreaks.  This would account for the antibiotic chloramphenicol being used – illegally.

America’s Agriculture Secretary is Brooke Rollins, she is a lawyer.  Will she order inspection of the imported trimmings or will she be ordered to let it slide? Rollins previously served with Jared Kushner in the Office of American Innovation – neither Rollins or Kushner possess any formal or Informal training in technology or innovation.   This office was created by Trump in 2017 and dissolved in 2021.  During its entire tenure this office accomplish absolutely – NOTHING.

The Trump Piggy Bank today tapped the $90 million slush fund labeled Emergency Planning and Security which was used to cover a portion of the Indy Car Race at the Capitol. I was not aware that an Indy Car Race was an Emergency… But Social Security is going broke.

It will take several months for the Argentina non-beef – beef trimmings to arrive in the US – and more time for processors to mix it with US beef to make it palatable – antibiotics and all.  In my neck of the woods, ground beef now runs from a low of $6.47 on sale to about $10 per pound.  It has become a luxury. There is also the possibility that Trump plans to hide buying Bill Gates fake beef and working that into the ‘trimmings’…
